Garbage/Recycling Rate Increase Coming January 1, 2024
Town Council approved a $1.00 per month increase to the garbage/recycling fee at the regular meeting on December 13, 2023. As of January 1, 2024, the monthly price to households will increase to $22.00 per month. The rise is due to an increase in the Fuel Surcharge and Recycle Surcharge charged by the town's service provider, Advanced Waste Solutions. Source: Town of Gull Lake

CGTW Rec Board Awards $50,000 to Local Organizations
The CGTW (RM of Carmichael, RM of Gull Lake, Tompkins, Webb, and RM Webb) Culture and Recreation Board has today announced the recipients of grant funding dollars totaling $50,000 for the current year. $11,327 of this funding is contributed by the Saskatchewan Lotteries to programming initiatives, which are not capital projects. New Radar Speed Signs Installed on Rutland Avenue
Two new radar speed signs have been placed on Rutland Avenue to help warn motorists of their speed. A sign indicating the speed of southbound vehicles was erected by the Town crew at the intersection of Rutland Avenue and Third Street. Another sign was placed at the intersection of Rutland Avenue and 5th Street to assist northbound traffic. Gull Lake SARCAN Closing Temporarily
The Gull Lake SARCAN Recycling depot will relocate to a new location. The depot will close on Friday, October 27th at its current location and reopen across the street at 439 Main Street after construction on that building is completed. Gull Lake Museum/Visitor Centre 2023 Highlights
The Museum Visitor Centre began the year with a well-attended Canada Day Celebration BBQ. The Monday Ladies Teas, which are always popular, were well attended. The Gull Lake Tourism Committee expanded the Museum this year by adding a Visitor Centre and the Prairie Handmade Gift Shop. RCMP Lay Charges Connected to 2025 Gull Lake Break‑In
The RCMP have concluded a significant investigation involving several communities in southern Saskatchewan.
