Steven Haithwaite Wins Town Council Bi-Election
Steve Haighthwaite was elected to the Gull Lake Town Council yesterday following a bi-election. Steve received 83 votes and Bob Francis received 53 votes in the final vote count. Steven Haithwaite served on the Town Council for one term from 2016 to 2020 and is looking forward to returning and working collaboratively with his fellow councilors for the community's betterment. Town Council Candidates Running in the Town By-Election
On October 20th, the Town of Gull Lake will hold a by-election to fill a vacancy. Bob Francis and Steve Haithwaite are the two candidates running. Both candidates have served on municipal committees and have previous council experience. Bob Francis is a member of the Southwest Transportation Planning Council's board of directors. Town of Gull Lake Receives $11,250 Grant For Regional Relationship Building
The Town of Gull Lake received a grant for $11,250 from the Provincial Targeted Sector Support Funding initiative. The TSS grant supports municipal projects aimed at building capacity, fostering good governance, and encouraging inter-municipal co-operation.
