The Town of Gull Lake received a grant for $11,250 from the Provincial Targeted Sector Support Funding initiative. The TSS grant supports municipal projects aimed at building capacity, fostering good governance, and encouraging inter-municipal co-operation. Last week, Gull Lake residents received their 2021 tax notices. The mill rate factor remained unchanged from last year, and a 2.5% increase to the Base Tax was approved. The Infrastructure Base Tax used to pave streets also remained unchanged from last year. Typically, Infrastructure Base Tax Funds are used to pave streets every two years, and this year normally would have been a paving year.
