Town Council Approves Donation to the Dr. Noble Irwin Foundation
The Gull Lake Town Council approved a $1,500.00 donation to the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Foundation to fund upgrades to the Cypress Regional Hospital's telemetry system. The Telemetry System is a specialized piece of equipment used to monitor patients' vital signs throughout the hospital, in areas such as Medical Surgery and Critical Care. Town Crew Install Gull Lake's First Lighted Crosswalk
The Town Crew installed the first lighted crosswalk in Gull Lake last week at the corner of Rutland Avenue and Main Street. Poles have been erected in four locations near the Gull Lake School in preparation for the installation of the lighted signs. Thanks to former Councilor Emella Waiser, the town received a grant of $47,438 from the SGI Provincial Traffic Safety Fund. Steven Haithwaite Wins Town Council Bi-Election
Steve Haighthwaite was elected to the Gull Lake Town Council yesterday following a bi-election. Steve received 83 votes and Bob Francis received 53 votes in the final vote count. Steven Haithwaite served on the Town Council for one term from 2016 to 2020 and is looking forward to returning and working collaboratively with his fellow councilors for the community's betterment. Town of Gull Lake Implements COVID-19 Vaccination Policy
At the September 29th, 2021 Council meeting, the Town Administrator was directed to prepare a COVID-19 Vaccination Policy for the Town of Gull Lake. Town staff and council members will be required to provide proof of complete vaccination or to submit a weekly negative Covid-19 test.
