SHA Implementing Proof of Vaccination Policy in all Facilities

Beginning November 8, 2021, the Saskatchewan Health Authority announced that proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination will be required for admission to all SHA acute care facilities and Long Term Care (LTC) homes. Additionally, the Ministry of Health will require that personal care homes adhere to this policy. Patients will not be required to show proof of complete vaccination in order to obtain care or services.

All essential family/support members and visitors must provide proof of complete COVID-19 vaccination or a COVID-19 test result that is negative. Anyone in need of a Covid-19 test may consult the Government of Saskatchewan's website for a list of providers. The user is responsible for the cost of the tests, which must be performed within the last 72 hours prior to visiting a SHA facility.

The SHA strongly encourages anyone who has not been vaccinated to do so. COVID-19 vaccinations are safe and effective, and are the best way to protect yourself against the virus. A comprehensive list of Saskatchewan COVID-19 vaccination clinics can be found at https://www.saskatchewan.ca/covid19-vaccine.
