Autumn House's Courtyard has been decorated and is ready for the holidays. For the second year in a row, I have had the opportunity to decorate the Autumn House Courtyard and front entrance for the holidays. In total, the display includes 11 inflatables, 15 lighted decorations, and 16 non-lighted decorations (which are illuminated by flood lights or kaleidoscope lighting), for a total of 42 decorations.
This year's display included the addition of a train to the village display as well as a new Christmas Gnome, which was generously donated by Bud Cates of Swift Current Monumental. Bud has been a generous donor of new items to the display every year since its inception. This year, I'd like to express my gratitude to Trudy Stusrud for her generosity in lending me a manger scene and a fantastic-looking wooden Santa. I'd also like to express my gratitude to the Lyceum Theatre for their assistance in decorating the yard.
I really enjoy decorating for Christmas in the outdoors, and it's a pleasure to be able to contribute to bringing a little Christmas cheer to the staff and residents at Autumn House as well.
