Town Council Approves 2021 Tax Rates
Last week, Gull Lake residents received their 2021 tax notices. The mill rate factor remained unchanged from last year, and a 2.5% increase to the Base Tax was approved. The Infrastructure Base Tax used to pave streets also remained unchanged from last year. Typically, Infrastructure Base Tax Funds are used to pave streets every two years, and this year normally would have been a paving year. Town Council did not seek paving tenders for 2021, so there will be no street paving

New Pump Installation July 7, 2021 Requires Gull Lake Residents to Conserve Water
The Town of Gull Lake water well is having a new pump installed tomorrow. As a result, we are asking residents to conserve water as follows: NO outside watering after 9:00 p.m. (Tuesday). No outside watering on Wednesday . Please conserve/limit water usage on Wednesday until notified that the work has been completed . Until the new, pump is installed and running, we will have to rely on water in the reservoir only. Thank you for your cooperation! Source: Town of Gull Lake

Town Council Approves the Purchase of a Crackfill Applicator
At the regular council meeting held on June 9, 2021, Town Council approved the purchase of an RY10 Elite Crackfill Applicator. The machine is used to seal cracks found on paved streets. Crack filling extends the life of streets and needs to be part of a pavement maintenance program. Crack filling will work best for streets that have been paved in the past 10 years.
