New SARCAN Recycling Depot Opens in Gull Lake
Hey, Gull Lake!! We have great news this Friday! The long-awaited return of our wonderful Gull Lake SARCAN depot is here! Our brand new depot at 439 Main St. (directly across the street from our old location!) is now open, and we couldn't be more excited to recycle with you in this new space! SARCAN has been a part of the Gull Lake community right since we started over 35 years ago in 1988, so we are very happy to bring this new facility to the rockstar recyclers in the area!

Tompkins Fundraiser Raises $9,280.00
On October 21, 2023, the Tompkins Country Carnival and Halloween Dance raised $9,280.00, which was split evenly between the Waterplant and the Library. The Village Council expressed the following thanks to everyone who contributed to the event's success. Dutchman Camper Stolen From Tompkins
A white 1997 Dutchman camper with Saskatchewan licence plate 667MNS, a teal horizontal stripe along the sides, and a length of 26 feet was stolen from Tompkins. The theft happened on August 15, 2023, about 6:20 a.m. The suspect truck is a black crew cab short box with a thick chrome accent on the front driver's, and may have a slip tank in the back.. The Gull Lake Tourism Committee welcomes the relocation and reopening of the Prairie Handmade Shop in the Gull Lake Museum. Gift stores not only help to draw people to museums, but the correct gift shop can add to the museum's uniqueness. When the Prairie Handmade Shop first opened, it was dedicated to selling and promoting the work of Southwest Saskatchewan artists and craftspeople.
