SGI is putting $5.6 million into training and equipping volunteer firemen who respond to automobile incidents on Saskatchewan's highways. The funds will go toward the creation of a programme that will be unique in Canada. The program's goals are to provide funding for the delivery of training courses that allow volunteer firemen to fulfil minimum standards for auto extrication and the purchase of equipment and materials to support that training..
