By now, you may have heard some rumours about us. And we are here to tell you that they are true! We (Hannah and Cole) have bought 1365 Conrad Ave. in downtown Gull Lake, and we will soon be transforming it into a bookstore!

Yellow Canary Books & Stationery is planning on opening its doors in October 2022. It will stock all genres of books, as well as stationery, office supplies, and small home décor items. We will grow based on the desires of our customers, starting with being open five days a week.

You may see improvements to the building in the coming months. Renovations are planned, but don’t worry, the Prairie Handmade Shop will still be open during this time and until we open the bookstore. After this, the Prairie Handmade Shop plans to move to a new location (they will announce this in the coming months!)

It has been a dream of ours to start a business in Gull Lake for quite some time, and we are happy to be finally sharing it with you. We look forward to hearing your feedback and seeing you at the store soon!
