Autumn House is hiring; we are looking for both a Care Aide and an Activity Director. Autumn House is an independent living facility looking for a care aide for level 1 and 2 residents.
Care Aide Description
This position will offer assistance to the residents daily needs while providing activities and encouraging their independence in a homelike atmosphere.
Maintain documentation(Charts,& Notes).
Reports, observes (written/or shift) and records physical and psychological observation/changes in client/resident condition. (Ex. skin, mobility, vitals, glucose levels).
Maintain good communication skills with client/resident and their supporter as well as their doctor.
Assist in daily living as per care plan( nutrition personal care, & mobility).
Provide assistance in dressing, bathing, grooming, handing out Medication, lifts/transfers.
Activity director Description
Needs to be able to work as a team to provide recreation and leisure activities to enhance the quality of life for our residents.
have good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills in the English language.
prepare, decorate, and arrange crafts and games in the facility.
maintain records of activities and attendance

Education that would be an asset but is not required for these positions:
First Aid, CPR, Food Handling Course, Personal Care Worker Course or equivalent (ie: Continuing Care Aid Certification) TLR, WHMIS. On the job training will be provided if these are something that you do not have.
