Town of Gull Lake Passes an Urban Hen Bylaw

The Urban Hen Bylaw was approved by the Town of Gull Lake at its regular meeting on November 23, 2022. This bylaw enables Gull Lake residents to keep up to four chickens within the municipal limits. According to the bylaw, all owners must have a valid license for their hens, and residents are not permitted to own roosters.

The bylaw will allow for a two-year pilot program beginning in January 2023. Following that period, Council will revaluate the program's viability.
